Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to effect time control for automatic igniting and extinguishing of a combustion apparatus by providing a time switch means, also, to plan a safety for the apparatus by incooperating a combustion detecting means into the time switch means.
CONSTITUTION: When a circuit for a time switch 6 is closed, an electromagnetic valve 3 is excited and gas is flown out of a gas burner 1. Concurrently, a discharge igniting means 4 is fed and the burner 1 is ignited automatically. Thereafter, combustion is continued until a switch in the time switch 6 is opened. In case either the burner is not ignited despite the exciting of the discharge igniting means 4 or a fire goes out after ignited once, the ignition is tried during a predetermined period of time by exciting the electromagnetic valve 3 and the discharge igniting means 4 and thereby producing spark discharges intermittently or continuously. However, if the ignition could not be effected, the exciting of the electromagnetic valve 3 is stopped by a combustion detecting means 5 detecting non-ignition, and thereby, supply of the gas is stopped.
