Abstract

PURPOSE: To minimize heat loss due to radiation of high-temperature water, by dividing a heat accumulating tank into two chambers, one being disposed to surround the most portion of the other chamber, and storing high-temperature water in the center portion of the tank while storing warm water of a relatively low temperature at the peripheral portion.
CONSTITUTION: Water is pumped up from the bottom of hot-water reserving tank 2 by means of pump 3 and sent via valve 14 and pipe 8 to heat collector 1, where it is heated by solar heat to warm water of a relatively low temperature. This warm water is returned to an upper portion of one chamber A via pipe 9 and valve 15. The warm water reserved in said one chamber A is sent via pipe 18 to heater 4, where it is heated to hot water, and it is returned to other chamber B via hot-water pipe 19 and reserved therein. Temperature of hot water taken out through outlet pipe 7 is controlled on the basis of mixing ratio of warm water taken out from one chamber A to hot water taken out from the other chamber B by appropriately controlling the opening of valves 16, 17. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to minimize heat loss due to raidation of hot water to the open air.
