Abstract
PURPOSE: To lower the BOD value of domestic animal wastes without the use of a great amount of diluting water by a small-size apparatus in which original water is treated by a solid-liquid saeparation and then sent to a fermentation tank, and treated water is transferred to a sedimentation tank.
CONSTITUTION: Domestic animal wastes coming into the original water storage tank 1 are subjected to a soild-liquid separation treatment using the inclined screen 6, and then sent to the first tank 11a of the fermentation tank 10, where fermentation occurs with aerobic bacteria with the aid of aeration and stirring. Then, the treated water is further sent to the second tank 11b for the same fermentation with the aid of aeration and stirring. A great amount of bubbles generated at the upper part of the both tanks are discharged through the bubble-drawing ducts 12a and 12b in order and then liquefied by the bubble breaking action of the electric defoamer 21 and circulated to the original water tank 1 through the water delivery pipe 23. The treated water stored in the sedimentation tank 24 is regulated its pH to neutral or so in the pH regultaing tank 29 and then sent to the biological treatment apparatus 36. Also, in case where treated water is sent through the discharge pipe 38, the treated water can be utilized as washing water for livestock house and also as a soil stabilizer for acid soil.
