Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to enhance bearing property of a pressed powder oilless bearing easily by a method wherein metal powder is molded by pressing said powder within a steel outer ring forming a plated layer comprising a material same to a metal to be sintered in an inner surface and sintered by heating.
CONSTITUTION: A steel outer ring 4 preliminarily forming a plated layer 5 in an inner surface is inserted into an outer mold 7 and a core metal 8 is passed through a center of this steel outer ring 4 and a lower punch 9 is arranged at a lower end of an axial direction. Subsequently, metal powder for sintering suitable for a bearing of Cu, Sn or the like is filled between an outer ring 4 and a core metal 8 and an upper punch 10 is lowered to subject the said metal powder to press molding by an upper and a lower punch 10, 9. In this case, an amount of powder is adjusted so as to force out a press molded body 11 from both ends of an axial direction of an outer ring 4 at a little. Subsequently, an outer ring 4 and a pressed powder body 11 are integrally removed from the mold 7 or the like and sintered at a Cu reries sintering temperature to bind strongly both parts through a plated layer 5 and the pressed powder oilless bearing 6 is integrally provided.
