Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of lubricating fluid for a long period of time without loss of loading characteristics to the system by separating and sealing the magnetic fluid and synthetic lubricating oil (esther) and others by a double sleeve type fluid shaft bearing construction. CONSTITUTION:A revolving shaft 3 is interconnected within the fixed sleeve 21 and thereby the fluid shaft bearing 22, 23 supporting the direction of the radial thrust is formed. The lubricating oil 34 is sealed to fill all spaces formed between the fixed sleeve 21 and the revolving shaft 22, and the space underneath the fixed sleeve is throughly sealed by the lower housing cover 25 through the gasket 35. Further, leak of the lubricating oil 34 adjacent to the opening 36 of the fixed sleeve 21 is prevented because of the magnetic fluid drawn by the permanent magnet 30 as a barrier.
