Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the sliding resistance and improve the tight sealing characteristics by forming a membrane made of compound of metal and high mole chemicals either on stopper or on the sliding surface of the main body.
CONSTITUTION: In order to disperse fine particles of high molecular compounds in the electroplating bath, by adding either cation activator or non-ion activator with strong absorbing characteristics to high molecular fine powder, or an activator of dual characteristics which displays the cation characteristics in the hydrogen concentration equivalent to that of the electric bath, high molecular fine powder is anodized in the electroplating bath and then electroplated. The intended electroplated membrane 2 is formed on sliding surface of the stopper 1 of the stop valve being sheltered for positions where it correspond to cathode and no electroplating are required. As high molecules with co-crystalline characters, fine powder of high molecular compounds of thermal plastic or thermal hardening characteristics may be used.
