Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a protective circuit for the constant voltage power unit which cuts off the load current by providing the thermal realy to the heat sink of the control power transistor.
CONSTITUTION: The non-stabilizing voltage passed through rectifier circuit 12 is changed into the constant voltage via the constant voltage circuit consisting of constant voltage diode 133 and control power transistor 134 to be supplied to load 14. Circuit breaker 3 consisting of the thermal relay is provided to heat sink 5 to be attached with transistor 134 at the position close to the transistor. With this invention, the entire circuit is cut off not only by the excessive load current but by the abnormal temperature rise of the power transistor, thus preventing the breakdown of the load and the power transistor.
