Abstract

PURPOSE:To mute both an inter-station noise and sideband modulation peak output through one route by extracting a noise component of a FM modulator and by putting muting operation into effect by the noise. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate-frequency signal applied to input terminal 1 is passed through IFAmp2 and demodulated by FM demodulator 3. An audio signal is extracted at terminal 9 through amplifier 4. A noise is extracted from the output of FM demodulator 3 by response method 10, amplified by amplifier 11 and then converted by rectifier 12 into a direct current, which is applied to muting control circuit 8 for muting operation.
