Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the automatic pouring of high pouring accuracy by maintaining the molten level in the tapping hole within the molten level range indicated by the two level detecting bars whose ends are located at the upper and lower limits of the molten metal level.
CONSTITUTION: The 1st level detecting bar 20 is installed to the pouring molten metal level L2. After the preparation for pouring is over, a solenoid valve 11 for exhaust, solenoid valve 12 for control, 2nd solenoid valve 22 for 2nd exhaust are energized to boost the gas pressure in a molten metal chamber 2. When the level 16 in the tapping hole contacts the detecting bar 20, the variable throttle mechanism of a booster relay 13 is stopped by the contact signal thereof and the gas is maintained at that pressure, under which molten metal is poured. When the level 16 rises and contacts the 2nd level detecting bar 21 during the time the gas pressure in the molten metal chamber 2 is rising, the pressure is decreased by the relay 13 to make the state where the level 16 is in contact with the detecting bar 20 alone. The relay 13 is stopped by the signal of this state to maintain the gas at the pressure of that state, under which molten metal is poured.
