Abstract
PURPOSE: To accomplish a smooth as well as accurate initial roll-wrapping of one side edge of a plastic film or sheet by rolling them between a pair of rolls in such a manner as to make one side thereof thinner than the other.
CONSTITUTION: A belt-shaped thermoplastic plastic film or sheet f is rolled between a pair of rolls 5,6 in such a manner as to make one side end thereof thinner than the other. Due to this rolling, the sheet f is automatically bent toward the end b ahead of the rolls which is the other end edge of the sheet f being under roll. It is withdrawn by a withdrawing roll 9 in the direction N reversing the bending direction M thereof. In the method, one roll 5 contacting one surface of initially roll-wrapped portion thereof is made a low temperature one while the other roll a high temperature roll so that both of the side ends thereof are prebent properly for giving curling property.
