PURPOSE:To provide a high-quality image rich in variety of density by a method wherein mist-formed ink droplets jetted from a rotary ink head rotating at high speed are controlled by many deflecting electrodes just before a recording member. CONSTITUTION:Minute ink droplets 17 jetted from many orifices 14 of a rotary ink head 13 rotating at a considerably high speed by centrifugal force are charged by charging electrodes 16 close to the orifices 14, before passing through an opening of a shielding wall 18 and through a droplet control means 21 having many deflecting electrodes 20. The electrodes 20 are connected with a high-voltage signal output circuit 22 and applied with signal voltages in accordance with the image to be recorded. The control means 21 is located directly before a recording member 19, and controls the mist-formed ink droplets 17 to form an image on the member 19.
