Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a title coating material excellent in sound-insulating and rust- preventive properties, and causing no sagging in baking process by mixing filler, suldge essentially consisting of phosphoric acid (salt), and vulcanizing agent into color extender consisting of styrene-butadiene rubber, rosin, etc.
CONSTITUTION: (a) 30W90Wt% of styrene-butadiene rubber and (b) 70W10wt% of rosin and (or) petroleum resin are mixed to provide a color extender (A). To 100pts.wt. of (A) the extender, 10W500pts.wt. of (B) filler such as fibrous monocrystal of insoluble anhydrous gypsum, 20W200pts.wt. of (C) sludge essentially consisting of zinc phosphate, iron phosphate, and free phosphoric acid recovered from phosphate treating solution, and 0.5W10pts.wt. of vulcanizer such as sulfur or organic peroxide are added, and are mixed with a disperser, etc. to provide the object baking-type sound-proof coating material.
