Abstract

PURPOSE: To estimate a cured condition of the improved ground by a method wherein a soft ground is improved by mixing and agitating with curing materials while they are fed and a strain sensing mechanism or a load sensing mechanism is assembled into said mixer.
CONSTITUTION: The mixing device is composed of a rotary shaft 2 having at least rotary agitating vanes 1, a driving device 3 for driving the rotary shaft 2, and a curing material feeding device 5 having a curing material discharge port 4 for feeding a curing material such as cement milk or lime etc. near the rotary agitating vanes 1. Further, it is composed of a recording device 10 for sensing a pulsation pattern of the strain in the rotary agitating vanes 1 or rotary shaft 2 by some strain gauges 9 etc. applied to the major components above, or sensing pulsation pattern of the power load of the driving device 3 by a power meter. The pulsation pattern under such conditions as the leading ends of the rotary agitating vanes 1 are passed through the non-improved virgin ground 8 up to the improved ground 6 is analyzed to get an information relating to the improved ground.
