Abstract

PURPOSE: To accomplish effective checking of the impeller for the vibration and strength characteristics by vibrating it with a large force over a wide frequency range through a high magnetic flux density being applied at a clearance between a test impeller and a magnet.
CONSTITUTION: The closed loop covering a test impeller 1, a fixed shaft 2, an AC magnets 9 and 9', magnet holders 7 and 8, a frame 11 and a surface table 3 forms a magnetic circuit with a DC magnet 10. A clearance ranging from 1W3mm is provided between the magnets 9 and 9', the core plate of the impeller 1 and the outer surface of the side plate and a magnetic field of high flux density is formed in the clearance. An AC current flows in such a manner that the magnet 9' on the side plate side and the magnet 9 on the core plate side become opposite to each other in the polarity. This causes a change in the flux denity in the clearance so that the impeller is attracted toward the magnet having an increasing flux density. Accordingly, a double oscillation vibrating force can be applied.
