Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the capacities of a large capacity memory device and a buffer memory by utilizing a fact that if the range of display of distance is enlarged at a sonar and the like, the resolution may be curtailed thereby to memorize reverberation image by the resolutions corresponding to respective ranges. CONSTITUTION:Several kinds of reverberation video images in the actual scenes are picked up, and are stored in a large capacity memory device 1. Data corresponding to respective training scenes are selected from the stored data, and transferred to a buffere memory 2. This buffer memory 2 successively reads out the data in the actual hour by control signals from a memory control circuit 4, and the data are converted in analog signals by a digital-analog converter 3 to generate reverberation video images. Here, a timing control circuit 5 is provided, and in order to read out reververation video images stored by the resolutions corresponding to respective ranges in the actual hour, the timing of reading out data from the buffer memory 2 is controlled in correspondence to the resolution. By this procedure, the data capacities of the reverberation video images are largely shrinked, and the memory capacity can be spared.
