Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the projection of the apparatus into the interior of a car and to provide wider leg space by disposing the heater core vertically above the fan motor and introducing fresh air from the floor. CONSTITUTION:A fan motor 2 is disposed at the bottom part of a case 1 attached near the ventilator. A heater core 3 is disposed above the fan motor 2. An air mixing damper 6 is adjustably provided at the opening of the heater core 3. Fresh air or the room air induced is branched to a side passage 8 and the heater core 3 by suitably adjusting the damper 6, then distributed to a face ventilator 11 and foot ventilator 14 by suitably adjusting a room defroster damper 5.
