Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily increase the thrust for a moving member by forming projected and recessed strips loosely fitted maintaining predetermined gaps therebetween on the opposing surfaces of the stator and the moving member along the moving direction of the moving member. CONSTITUTION:When a current is caused to flow through an axiciting coil 5 and a magnetomotive force Mmf is acted upon a stator 1 and two magnetic poles, a thrust FM is acted on the moving member 2. When the opposing area of the stator 1 and the moving member 2 is denoted by SE, since the projected and recessed strips 8 and 9 extended along the moving direction of the moving member 2, and loosely fitted by maintaining gaps 3 therebetween, the area SE becomes larger than the area S in the case of having no projected and recessed strip if the outer diameter dimension is the same.
