Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the electric power efficiency at the time of play by using a switching-type voltage converter capable of taking out DC current of variable output and reducing supplied voltage at the time of play through comparison with voltage supplied to the electric motor when rapid wind-up is effected. CONSTITUTION:A switching controller 12 controls a transistor 15's ''on'' time duty according to the command signal 9 and output voltage of a voltage converter 11. During ''on'' period, electric current is supplied to the electric motor 14 through an inductor 17 and a capacitor 18. While during ''off'' period, electric current is supplied to the electric motor 14 by an inductor 17's energy through a flywheel diode 16. Consequently, the output voltage of the voltage converter 11 varies proportional to the transistor 15's duty during ''on'' period, becoming a value corresponding to the command signal 9. Therefore, even if the output voltage during play time were minimized as compared to the output voltage at the time of rapid wind-up, power loss during play time can be minimized.
