Abstract
PURPOSE: To promote the proliferation of miroorganisms in a culturing tank, by dividing the tank into the culturing part and the inhibiting substance discharging part, and aerating the discharging part with purging gas, thereby discharging the proliferation inhibiting substances from the medium and eliminating the influence of the substance to the oxygen-enriched cultivation.
CONSTITUTION: The culturing tank 1 is divided with a draft tube 2 into the culturing part 3 and the inhibiting substance discharging part 4. The culturing part 3 in the draft tube 2 is furnished with agitation blades 6, baffle plates 7 and oxygen- supplying sparger 8. The objective microorganisms are cultured aerobically in the culturing part 3. The culturing liquid is introduced into the inhibiting substance discharging part 4 through the bottom of the draft tube 2, and the proliferation inhibiting substance such as carbon dioxide gas is discharged through the outlet 10 accompanied with the purging gas such as air, nitrogen gas, etc. introduced through the sparger 9. The culturing liquid is lifted by the air-lift effect to the top of the draft tube 2, and returned to the culturing part 3.
