Abstract

PURPOSE: To widely shorten a waste operation time of a conveyor and to enable an energy-saving operation, by a method wherein object detectors and a controller are combined together, and through detection and memory of the objects on a conveyor, an actual flow of the objects is grasped.
CONSTITUTION: Objects are conveyed to conveyors in the order of the conveyors 1a, 1b,..., 1n. Object detectors 3a, 3b,..., 3n are mounted at each receiving port of the conveyors. A controller 4, such as sequencers, microprocessors, has subroutines 5, which correspond to their respective conveyors, at the inside thereof, and signals from their respective detectors are inputted to output an operation command to each of the conveyors 1a, 1b,..., 1n. The lengths and speeds of the conveyors are set in the controller beforehand, and the continuous presence of the objects on te conveyors is stored therein. This permits simulation of the presence of the objects on the conveyors, and shortening of the waste operation time of the conveyors.
