Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit and make the device small-sized, by driving the reel motor in the normal or reverse direction only for a fixed time on a basis of the reproducing command signal obtained from the operation part. CONSTITUTION:At the reproducing time, the tape is caused to run in the normal direction in a constant speed from capstan motor GM, which is driven by the reproducing operation switch, through flywheel 22, capstan 24, idler 26, and take- up reel 25 in order. At the fast-forwarding or rewinding time, the tape is caused to run in the normal or reverse direction in a high speed from reel motor RM through the pulley, gear A, gear B, gear C or D, and take-up reel 25 or supplying reel 30 in order by the operation of the fast-forwarding or rewinding operation switch. These driving mechanisms have the same constitution as the conventional those with the exception that the brake solenoid and the brake plate are omitted.
