Abstract
PURPOSE:To transmit multiple signals with one optical fiber by detecting the rotation of a code disc with plural monochromatic lights and mixing these monochromatic lights and transmitting them with one optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:The light of a light source 4 is divided to monochromatic light by way of a prism 8, and the divided monochromatic lights are irradiated to a code disc 19 by means of optical fibers 9, 10. The monochromatic lights past the slits 19a of the code disc 19 are received in optical fibers 11, 12, are mixed with a light signal coupler 13 and the mixed lights are sent to the reception side by an optical fiber 14. On the reception side, they are divided to monochromatic lights through a slit plate 15 and a prism 16, and are converted to two electric signals by photoelectric transducers 17, 18.
