Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare an insulated wire having low friction coefficient and high abrasion resistance without lowering the heat resistance of the base resin, by coating wire with an insulation paint containing a specific amount of ultrafine powder of tetrafluoroethylene resin having specific particle diameters, and baking the coated wire.
CONSTITUTION: The objective insulated wire can be prepared by coating a conductor with an insulation paint obtained by adding 0.1W10wt% of ultrafine powder of tetrafluoroethylene resin having an average particle diameter of ≤10μ to the resin component (e.g. polyesterimide) of the insulating material, and baking the coated wire. The coating may be carried out by applying the paint directly to the conductor or pref. by applying the paint to the conductor coated with other insulation layer. The thickness ratio of the top layer to the interlayer is pref. 1W5 to 10. For the homogeneous dispersion of tetrafluoroethylene powder, the dispersion operation is pref. carried out either by dispersing the powder in the insulation paint in high concentration (≥50wt%) and then diluting the concentrate with the insulation paint free of the additive, or by dispersing the powder in a solvent such as xylene, and then adding the insulation paint to the dispersion.
