Abstract
PURPOSE: To catch easily a laser spot by providing a laser projector and a receptor to rotate with a same angular velocity and their point of intersection of the ray axis to describe a circle of an orbit while the laser projector and receptor in rotation.
CONSTITUTION: A laser ray L from a laser projector 24 is projected through a scanning mirror 26 into a blast furnace 21 to scan a furnace top surface 27 of a deposit 23. On the other hand, a rotatable receptor 28 is composed of an image formation system 29 having a condenser lens and an image detector 30. The projector 24 and receptor 28 have a same angular velocity, but opposite directions. A point of intersection 30 by axes of rays 24a, 28a of the projector 24 and receptor 28, forms an apex of a triangle having a line from the projector 24 to receptor 28 as a base and a circle 31 as an inscribed circle, the orbit described by the point of intersection 30 becoming the circle 31. If a conical profile of the top surface 27 of the deposit 23 is approximated with an circular arc, the deviation from a circular arc and the aberration from the hypothetic circle caused by a descending of the top surface 27, while one pass of profile measuring, are assumed so as to catch the reflected ray from the top surface 27.
