Abstract

PURPOSE: To find a resistance value of high precision in a short time by forming a resonating circuit by connecting a capacitor to a coil to be measured and by measuring the resistance value of the coil by supplying a voltage of a resonance frequency from the point of a set phase angle.
CONSTITUTION: To coil 2 to be measured, capacitor 3 of proper capacity is connected in series and a resonance frequency is previously found; and the point in time when the phase of AC power source 5 with this resonance frequency ω0 is π/4 is detected by phase detector 9, which sends a signal to switching element 8. On receiving the signal, switching element 8 closes the circuit and supplies a voltage to a series RLC circuit. The moment the voltage is supplied, the circuit current gets stationary and its phase agrees with that of the voltage. In this constitution, the value measured by impedance measurer 7 is shown by the formula and the resistance value of coil 2 to be measured is found with high precision and in a short time.
