Abstract

PURPOSE:To inform a program in transmitting at present to audiences by sending a number code in each number, detecting the number code by a receiving device with a simple procedure and making it possible to display the number code on CRT screen immediately. CONSTITUTION:A program code signal which indicates the kind of program is inserted into a signal which transmits the time sharing system array of many different pictures obtained by dividing characters and patterns on a picture by a pattern or patterned signal so as to be displayed on a CRT screen together with the data indicating the contents of the program. The signal is demodulated by demodulator 1 of a television image receiving tube, restored to the original pulse waveform in data reforming circuit 2 and added to sampling circuit 4. Clock generation circuit 5 adds sampling, read and write clocks to circuit 4 and control circuit 6, where the program code is detected and stored in color code memory 8. When manual switch 16 is depressed, the program code stored in memory 8 is displayed on CRT screen with characters generated from numeric pattern generator 9.
