Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent oxidation at the annealing and save oxide removing process by passing the drawn copper after drawing into a stainless steel pipe which inclines downward in an advance direction and is heated in a vacuum state, in an annealing furnace, evaporating surface impurities, leading the copper into hot water without allowing the same to contact air, removing moisture and sending the same into a plating cell. CONSTITUTION:A copper wire 7 having been drawn is led into a stainless steel pipe 3 and is heated with an electric heater 3. The pipe 3 inclines downward in the advancing direction of the wire 7, and its leading end is sealed by water in a hot water tank 5; therefore, the air therein ascends and is exhausted from the trailing end, hence the inside of the pipe 3 results in a vacuum. Therefore, the surface impurities of the wire 7 are evaporated, and the wire is sent into the hot water tank 5 which is heated by a heater 4, without contacting air. Thence, the wire is wiped off of the moisture in a drying oven 6, and is dried, after which it is plated in a plating cell 8.
