Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a heat collecting material which satisfies the basic requirement for selectively absorbing solar heat energy by blasting the surface of a stainless steel by means of blast materials of predetermined grain sizes to provide a worked layer then subjecting the surface to blackening treatment. CONSTITUTION:Surface of a stainless steel is blasted with brast materials of #100- #2,000 grain sizes, whereby a worked layer is provided. Thence, the stainless steel provided with this worked layer is dipped for a predetermined time in a blackening soln. prepd. by heating an aqueous mixed soln. of chromic acid-sulfuric acid, for example, an aqueous mixed soln. of 250g/l chromic acid anhydride-500g/l sulfuric acid, to predetermined temp., whereby it is blackened and the intended solar heat absorbing body is produced. This solar heat absorbing body is superior is selective absorptivity of solar heat energy, and causes extremely less dissipation of the absorbed heat energy.
