Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve printing alignment and thus to obtain a high quality printing by providing an intermediate member between a printing wheel of an impact printer and a plunger shaft.
CONSTITUTION: In an impact printer provided with a printing wheel 21 with a detent 20 formed between a plunger shaft 15 to which impact is given by a plunger magnet 7 and a platen 8, an oscillating hammer 22 which is an intermediate member to transfer impact to the printing wheel 21 upon receipt of an impact operation of the plunger shaft 15 is provided between the printing wheel 21 and the plunger shaft 15. Even where the plunger shaft 15 has been worn out, the impact operation can be transferred through the oscillating hammer 22 to printing, therefore an adverse influence can be prevented from exerting on printing alignment.
