Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a switching loss by a method wherein the value of the primary- side inductance of a power-transmitting transformer and the value of a capacitor connected in series with an inductance for accumulating power are selected to be specific values. CONSTITUTION:A switching element 3 is connected with a power source 1 through the intermediary of the primary winding of the power-transmitting transformer 2 and to both ends thereof a damper diode 5, a capacitor 4 for resonance and a serial resonant circuit 12 are connected in parallel, while to the secondary winding a load 10 is connected through the intermediary of a rectifying diode 8. And the value of the capacitor 6 of the serial resonant circuit 12 is selected to be several times more than the value of the capacitor for resonance and the value of the inductance of the primary winding of the transformer 2 to be several times more than that of the inductance 7. Accordingly, power transmission is enabled even when the voltage conversion ratio N is larger than the required number M of the primary winding and the switching loss at high frequency can be reduced.
