Abstract
PURPOSE:To make possible to conduct the deep penetration welding of narrow width, by enabling the injections of laser beam and plasma-generating gas to the welding point with a predetermined inclination angle. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle body 30 having a hole 30b for passing through a laser beam is rotatably attached to a holder 58. A gas nozzle 62 having a jet gas supplying port 62c is fit in the lower end of the holder 58. Jet gas is ejected from a jet ejecting hole 30c to the welding point P via a ring-shaped groove 30c being prepared around the lower circumferential surface of the nozzle body 30. As the nozzle body 30 can be easily rotated, the ejecting angle of jet gas can also be freely adjusted. As the energy of laser beam is propagated from said welding nozzle without any surfce reflection to the mother material to be welded by means of plasma, a high energy efficiency can be obtained. Furthermore, as the plasma is pushed into the mother material by said jet gas, a deep penetration welding of narrow width can be conducted.
