Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent issuance of an inferior ticket by rejecting a ticket form (standby ticket) held by a platen roll and a thermal head as an invalid ticket when the thermal head is restored to an original state after having once been separated from a platen roll.
CONSTITUTION: An actuation element 14a is caused to touch a switch action plate 12 on the nose of a thermal head which is movable around an axis 9 supported by a spring 13 so that a micro switch 14 may be arranged. After issuance of one piece of ticket through the captioned ticket inssuing machine, a ticket from T which was fed into between the thermal head 8 and the platen roll 7 by means of a drive roll 4, is cut with the help of a cutter 5 and is held as one piece-worth standby ticket T'. However, if the thermal head part 10 is again put back counter-clockwise to an original position, a switch 14 acts to shift from "ON" position to "OFF" position then to "ON" position. At this signal, the drive roll 4 and the platen roll 7 are turned, rejecting the held standby ticket T' as an invalid ticket without being printed and at the same time, a new standby ticket T' is set.
