Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain stable operating condition and to prevent attaching of steam or the like to a temperature detector, by employing an arrangement for electronic oven which enables to measure the temperature of a substance to be heated in contactless manner by the use of an infrared-ray temperature detector, and cooling the temperature detector by producing an air flow from the temperature detector toward the substance to be heated.
CONSTITUTION: In an electronic range in which magnetron 8 is disposed at an upper portion on the wall of heating chamber 3 for high-frequency heating of substance 7 to be heated, an opening 3a is formed in the upper wall of chamber 3 and a detector chamber 9 is formed in the manner coinciding with the opening 3a. In chamber 9, an infrared-ray temperature detector 10 is disposed at a position capable of obtaining a view inside the heating chamber 3 through the opening 3a. Output of the detector 10 is taken out via processing circuit 11. Further, an air duct 12 is connected to chamber 9 for feeding air by fan 13 to cool the temperature detector 10. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to stabilize the operating temperature of detector 10 substantially and to detect the temperature of substance 7 in a stable manner. Further, by the function of the above-mentioned air flow, steam or the like generated while heating substance 7 is prevented from attaching to detector 10.
