Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of emissivity to measure the true surface temperature even for a general object, by providing a spectroscope which selects three or more spectral radiation energies, a detecting element, a logarithmic converter, amplifiers, an adder and subtractor, and so on. CONSTITUTION:Spectral radiation energies of three or more wavelengths are selected from the radiation energy flux from object 1 by spectroscope 3 and are converted to electric signals by detecting element 4. Outputs obtained by amplifying these signals with preamplifier 5 are subjected to logarithmic conversion by logarithmic converter 6 and are involved by all values except values, which include selected wavelengths themselves, out of values proportional to differences of these wavelengths by amplifiers 7-9. These outputs are added and subtracted by adder and subtractor 10 and are converted to reciprocals by reciprocal converter 11 to obtain true temperature T0 of object 1. For example, the reciprocal of ln[V(lambda1)<(lambda2-lambda3)> V(lambda3)<(lambda1-lambda2)>/V(lambda2)<(lambda1-lambda3)>]-C is operated on a basis of electric signal V(lambda1)- V(lambda3) concerning three wavelengths lambda1-lambda3.
