Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently drill a shape steel for bridge from three directions at the same time by providing three borers for both flange parts and the web part of said shape steel.
CONSTITUTION: The first borer 11 is provided on a cross rail 5, and the second and third borers 30 and 31 on a pair of columns 2 facing to each other. The borer 11 is moved in the X direction by the lateral travelling of the cross rail 5, in the Y direction by the lateral travelling of a saddle 12, and in the Z direction by the vertical movement of a cross saddle 16, to position a drill 19. The borers 30 and 31 are provided with swivel bases 33 and regulated so that each drill shaft is constantly perpendicular to the surface to be worked. A shape steel is simultaneously drilled by the borers 11, 30 and 31 from three directions.
