Abstract
PURPOSE:To record servo track information in a servo region by setting the recording track density of information, reproduced from a servo disk via a servo head, twice recording track density. CONSTITUTION:Servo surface information reproduced by servo head 4 is amplified 11 and automatic gain control amplifying circuit 12 generates a servo head position error signal from the said information with the gain where a maximum amplitude value in one-track movement is constant. This error signal is differentiated by speed detecting circuit 13 and sent to summing amplifier 14 and at the same time, a servo head position error signal is inputted to data head position shift correcting circuit 15. Positioning information reproduced by data head 5, on the other hand, is amplified 16 and inputted to automatic gain control data amplifying circuit 17 to generate a position error signal for unit track position shift length. Thus, the position error signal inputted to data head position shift correcting circuit 15 is added to or subtracted from the servo head position error signal according to its polarity and the result is sent to poststage summing amplifier circuit 14.
