Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent interruption of the sequence operation, by making the interrupt signal ineffective when the interrupt signal is transmitted for a prescribed time or more continuously from an external device. CONSTITUTION:The sequence operation of sequence controller (abbreviated to SC afterward) 10 is interrupted under the state where interrupt signal INT is transmitted still to SC 10 due to the fault and so on of data processing part 22 or flip-flop IF for interrupt. Interrupt control circuit 15 prevents this interruption to prevent interrupt signal INT from being given to operation processing part 12 by time up of timer 30 under the state where interrupt signal INT is transmitted still. As a result, the sequence operation of operation processing part 12 is restarted before the sequence control is affected, thus preventing overrun of the machine. The set time of timer 30 is longer than the time required for read of the normal sequence program or the input/output element signal and is shorter than the allowable stop time of the sequence operation.
