The output signal of the difference d is then put in the second arithmetic unit from which a controlled variable by which the difference d becomes zero when the suction mouth goes forward by l meters is output. On the basis of the desired controlled variable, a control valve 12 is controlled through a controller 11, and a wire hanging mechanism (not illustrated) is operated and the suction mouth 7 moves vertically in such a way as to make the said difference d zero.
