Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove fine particles with high accuracy by a method in which filter wire and supporting wire having round sections are wound around a perforated profile tubular core at definite intervals, and filtration is made through the wound wires.
CONSTITUTION: A filter wire 4 having round sectional shape is wound around a perforated profile tubular core 1 manufactured by boring a large number of holes 3 through which filtrate or compressed air for back washing are passed in a profile tube 2. In this case, in order to keep the distance d1 among the turns of the wound filter wire 4 constant, a support wire 5 is together wound close to the filter wire 4 on the profile tubular core 1 in such a way as to form fine apertures d2 in the jointed portion between the filter wire 4 and the support wire 5, where d1>d2 is conditioned. Comparatively coarse substances are removed by the aperture d1 formed by the adjacent filter wires 4 and also fine substances are removed by the fine aperture d2 formed in the jointed portion between the filter wire 4 and the support wire 5. Thus, colloids and fine perticles can be removed in the early stage of the filter membrane.
