PURPOSE:To improve the lamp efficiency and color rendition by using a fluorescent material mixture of red, blue, and green fluorescent materials having band fluorescent spectra with small half-width value which is attained by adding an appropriate activating agent, where fluorescent materials are mixed in an appropriate proportion. CONSTITUTION:The inside surface of a tube is coated with a fluorescent material mixture comprising 10-17wt% of green fluorescent manganess-activated zinc silicate [Zn2SiO4:Mn] (ZS), 5-40wt% of blue fluorescent tin-activated strontium phosphate [Sr2P2O7:SN] (SP), and 10-70wt% of red fluorescent europium-activated yttrium [Y2O3:Eu<3+>] (YO).
