Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition that is made by adding an ethylene-propylene- ethylidenenorbornene terpolymer to a poly-α-olefin resin, thus permitting the reduction in the dose of radioactive rays with no affective effect on the characteristics of a composition crosslinkable with radioactive rays.
CONSTITUTION: To 100pts. by wt. of poly-α-olefin resin, are added at least 1pt of an ethylene-propylene terpolymer containing ethylidenenorbornene, 1,4-hexadiene or dicyclopentadiene as the third component and the composition is crosslinked by irradiation with ionizing radiation such as electron rays.
