Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to easily detect ''byte drop'' and ''step aside'' of the receiving side, by providing a signal line showing the first or last data of a font data in the longitudinal 1 row, for a system in splitting and transferring a font data. CONSTITUTION:A stroboscopic signal 8 is inputted to a count input terminal UP of a ternary counter 12, it is decoded by a decoder 5, a chip of a memory 6 is selected, and a data 7 is stored in the memory 6. In case when ''step aside'' or ''byte drop'' has occurred between each data, one of the signal 16 and the signal 13 becomes a high level and the other becomes a low level, or one becomes a low level and the other becomes a high level, and an error signal 15 becomes a high level due to noncoincidence, and an alarm is raised.
