Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled resin useful as an ion exchange resin base etc., at low cost, by dissolving a polymer and a polymerization initiator in monomers, suspending the solution in an aqueous solution of a water-soluble polymer etc. under stirring and carrying out polymerization.
CONSTITUTION: The solution of (A) one or more polymers selected from polystyrene, poly(meth)acrylic acid or esters, polycarbonates, polyamides, polyesters, polyvinyl chloride, polyolefins, AS resin, ABS resin, etc., in (B) one or more monomers selected from styrene, acrylonitrile α-methylstyrene, divinylbenzene, (meth)-acrylic acid or esters, itaconic acid or esters, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, allyl acetate, dienes, olefins, etc., is suspended in an aqueous solution of a water-soluble polymer or a surface active agent under stirring and polymerized.
