Abstract

PURPOSE: A priming powder coating material, having improved polishing properties, and comprising a thermosetting powder coating material, a phenolic resin and an inorganic filler in specific amounts.
CONSTITUTION: A coating material having an average particle size of 150W20μ and a melting point of 40W150°C, and comprising a thermosetting powder coating material, e.g. an epoxy, acrylic or polyester, resin, (A) 20W90wt% a phenolic resin, preferably a movebak or resol type having a melting point of 40W150°C, (B) 10W70wt% an inorganic filler, preferably comprising 30W100wt% talc. The coating material is obtained by premixing the resin ingredient with the additive ingredient in a Henschel mixer, melt kneading the premix in an extruder, and pulverizing the cooled mixture in a pulverizer.
