Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a highly precise time standard signal by a method wherein the frequency of a laser output generated at a laser resonator is controlled by a tuning control circuit, a desired frequency is obtained and then it is outputted from a standard time signal generating circuit. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting mirror 13 is installed on one side of a laser amplifier tube 10, a translucent mirror 12 is installed on the other side of the tube 10 through the intermediary of an absorption cell 1, in which a molecule presenting Hall burning phenomenon is sealed, an they compose a laser resonator. Then, the laser output emitted from the resonator is detected by a detector 14 and it is controlled to obtain a tuning with the laser frequency or the center frequency in the manner to obtain the highest laser output constantly using a tuning control circuit 15. Thus, the laser beam standing in the resonator is low frequency modulated while a desired frequency is maintained continually and it is outputted from a time standard signal generating circuit 16 as a time standard signal. Accordingly, a highly precise signal can be obtained.
