Abstract

CONSTITUTION: When the paper feed operation is automatically performed, a vacuum unit 24 is turned and opened to mount a sheet S on a table 21 and manually feeding auxiliary table 28, and then the unit 24 is returned to the former position to perform the paper feed operation by a normal suction and conveying roller 32. When the paper feed is manually operated, the unit 24 is opened to the position of virtual line as shown by a chain line to rotate the manually feeding auxiliary table 28 clockwise and place it on the top edge of a sheet stopper 21a, and in this condition the sheet is slided on the manually feeding auxiliary table 28 and intruded into scanner rollers 40, 41 to perform the paper feed operation.
