Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease secondary resistance in case of operation largely by a mechanism wherein conductor paths are also formed to the inside of a slot and an inner circumferential portion of a rotor, the each conductor path is short-circuited by meas of an end ring, and a secondary circuit of the rotor is up. CONSTITUTION:A conductor path 4a is formed into a slot 4 opening on an outer circumferential surface of a rotor core 2 and a conductor path 8a between an inner circumferential portion 8 of the rotor core 2 and a shaft 3, and each conductor path 4a, 8a is short-circuited by means of an end ring 9. Thus, secondary resistance becomes large because secondary currents collectively flow through an upper portion of the slot 4 and a conductor path 9a portion of the end ring 9 corresponding to the upper portion among the conductor path 4a when starting, and the secondary resistance largely lowers because not only the secondary currents uniformly distribute in the conductor path 4a but also the conductor paths 4a, 8a form a parallel circuit when normal operation.
