Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an electrosensitive recording medium with both no earth return phenomenon and an excellent resolution by using nitrocellulose as a binder for the recording face layer.
CONSTITUTION: A color material such as dyestuff and pigment or a size agent is added to the paper material in an ordinary paper manufacture process, or a color material is applied to a superior quality paper, which is manufactured by an ordinary paper making machine, together with a binder to obtain a base material for the recording medium. Conductive metals such as aluminum and zinc are vacuum- evaporated onto such a good colored base material so that the evaporation layer may be in the order of 500W800Å, and semiconductor materials such as zinc oxide, titanium oxide and burned titanium are applied to the surface of said base material together with a binder the main component of which is nitrocellulose to provide a recording face layer the resistance of which is 10,000Ω or less. In this way, a recording medium with no smell and a good sensitivity can be obtained.
