Abstract
PURPOSE: To lessen an influence of unevenness in gap between a structure member to be measured and a detector by successively providing not less than three magnetic cores of a magnetic sensor and by obtaining an output for calculating variation in magnetic loss from the center magnetic core.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetic-shielding auxiliary magnetic cores 3a and 3b are so provided successively that end parts of magnetic cores of the same magnetic poles will be formed at both adjacent sides of channel-shaped main magnetic core 1. When exciting coil 5 is excited with magnetic sensor 6 in contact with a member to be measured, magnetic flux ϕ2 that has a magnetic path including auxiliary magnetic cores 3a and 3b becomes uneven, but magnetic flux ϕ1 that has a magnetic path including main magnetic core 1 becomes nearly even. Therefore, magnetic flux detection coil 2 wound around main magnetic core 1 detects only magnetic flux ϕ1 which is even in magnetic-flux distribution in the structure member to be measured and then outputs a voltage signal that corresponds to the magnitude of the magnetic flux. Thus, an influence of unevenness in gap between the structure member to be measured and a detector can be lessened.
