Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of steps and make them simple by forming different latent images on two photoreceptors, superposing the other latent image on the one latent image making these sensible through ane developing then performing transfer thereby forming the superposed images.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of the 1st photoreceptor P1 and the 2nd photoreceptor P2 each comprising providing a photoconductive layer on a conductive substrate are charged by corona dischargers 5, 7, thence the light images of different originals 6 and 8 are radiated respectively onto these surfaces, whereby the corresponding electrostatic latent images are formed. Thence, the photoreceptors P1, P2 are superposed with their mutual photoconductive layers being contacted. AFter an electric power source 9 is applied thereto, they are separated to transfer the latent images of the photoreceptor P2 on the photoreceptor P1. After this, toners 10 are supplied to simultaneously develop the two latent images and transfer paper 11 is superposed thereon, and the toner images are transferred by a corona discharger 12. Hence, the superposed images may be formed with less number of steps and the device may be simplified.
